Job Description

Are you a compassionate, curious, dedicated individual with a desire to make a positive impact on others’ lives? If so, Cigna Healthcare, a division of The Cigna Group, is looking for customer service representatives like you to join their US Medical team.

Leverage your problem-solving and listening skills to address inquiries from Cigna Healthcare customers.

As a trusted customer service representative, you will assist with questions regarding benefits, eligibility, prior authorizations, and claims.

Additionally, you will recommend other programs that could contribute to the customers’ overall well-being.

They’ll set you up for success with 11-12 weeks of mandatory training during your first 90 days.

This comprehensive training will equip you with everything you need to deliver outstanding service to their customers.

Plus, this position allows you to work from home, so you can enjoy assisting people from the comfort of your own space.

What You’ll Do on the Job

  • Handle an average of over 40 customer calls daily, addressing their inquiries and providing assistance.
  • Utilize multiple computer programs concurrently during each call.
  • Independently resolve issues and aim to address them within a single call.
  • Achieve call center targets while delivering accurate information in a courteous and professional manner.
  • Pay close attention to understanding customers’ needs, and use your expertise to respond effectively and guide them on the next steps.
  • Adjust to changes in procedures or guidelines while maintaining professionalism and focus in a remote work environment.
  • Collaborate with other teams to address issues and enhance service quality.

Job Requirements for this Role

  • High School diploma or an equivalent qualification.
  • More than 2 years of customer service experience.
  • A home workspace that is quiet and free from distractions.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Proficient in computer usage.
  • Strong organizational abilities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Capability to remain calm and helpful, even in challenging situations.

If you will be working from home either occasionally or permanently, your internet connection must be through a cable broadband or fiber optic internet service provider, with minimum speeds of 10Mbps for download and 5Mbps for upload.

For this position, Cigna expects to offer an hourly rate of $17 to $24, based on relevant factors such as experience and geographic location.

Additionally, this role is anticipated to be eligible for participation in an annual bonus plan.
