The episode starts with Ranvijay and Vaiju hiding. Kaveri asks Jaya if she and Ranvijay are happy. Jaya says yes and asks why. Kaveri warns her not to trust him blindly and to stay alert.
Jaya says she doesn’t need to keep an eye on him because he loves her a lot. Kaveri prays for Jaya. Ragini is sad. Vaiju comes to console her. Ragini says she is scared for her future. Arhaan comes and asks for help with his homework.
Ragini leaves. Vaiju looks at Ragini’s photo album and says the answer to her future is in her past. She smiles. Vaiju starts singing loudly. Ragini goes to see what is happening. She sees her sitar.
Vaiju says she knows Ragini isn’t using it now. She sings again. Ragini tells her to stop and says the sitar is not a toy, it’s a Sadhna, and asks her not to insult it. Vaiju apologizes and puts the sitar down.
She asks why Ragini left the sitar and how she could keep music away for ten years. Vaiju says she understands that Ragini got burdened by responsibilities and forgot her likes and dislikes.
She says one shouldn’t forget their identity for relationships. Vasundara agrees and says it’s her mistake as a mother. She says Ragini has to keep her identity and that she has always longed to hear music in the house.
Rao Sahab and Vasundara cry. He says when Ragini used to play the sitar, the house felt like a temple. Ragini smiles. Ranvijay encourages her to make a new start and play the sitar again.
Jaya says it’s Durgasthami today. Ragini thanks Vaiju and hugs her. She plays the sitar and sings “Ek Radha Ek Meera.” Everyone smiles. Vasundara says it’s time for aarti. The wives perform the rituals. Vaiju cries seeing Ranvijay. She goes to her room and looks at her mangalsutra. The song “Hamesha Tumko Chaha” plays.
Vaiju gets ready and applies sindoor. She goes to do the puja and sees Ranvijay’s photo. Sulekha comes and asks what is going on. She sees Vaiju with sindoor and drags her outside.
Everyone is shocked to see Vaiju with a sindoor and a mangalsutra. Sulekha asks Vaiju to explain for whom she kept the fast, when she got married, and who she married. She says Vaiju can’t insult their customs and has insulted the Suhaagans.
She demands to know the truth about Vaiju’s husband or asks her to wipe off the sindoor. Vaiju stops her and says her sindoor won’t be removed. Sulekha asks whose name is on the sindoor. Vaiju looks at Ranvijay. He thinks the truth has to come out and he is ready to handle the consequences. Vaiju says everyone wants to know about the sindoor.
