The episode starts with Tejas saying Akash is just a simple cook. Shakku asks what Tejas is doing. Renu says Akash works in a car showroom. Tejas clarifies that he means the girl should be simple and middle-class.
Sachin arrives and jokes about it. Renu warns him not to say anything in front of the guests. Sachin says he will see who the family is. He goes to ask Sayali for tea. She is making snacks.
He praises her for making vada pav. She says Renu asked her to make the food and tells him to stay quiet when the guests arrive. He asks why. She explains that the girl’s family is coming to see Akash. Sachin recalls how people in Aaji’s village would clap if they liked a play or hit with slippers if they didn’t. He says he will do the same. He enjoys the snacks.
Dubey calls his son Raghav. Raghav sees Riya and compliments her. Dubey introduces her as Riya. Riya says she doesn’t remember him. Joy says they were good childhood friends. Dubey suggests they have a private talk. Riya asks what he means. Mamta tells her to go. Raghav says she is sweet and he likes her. Joy mentions that Riya does dubbing as a hobby.
Dipika visits Sayali and Sachin. She praises Chirag but says she can’t marry him because they are not a good match. She says Chirag’s mom doesn’t like her. Sayali reassures her that Chirag loves her and she will be a good wife. Sachin says he will handle Chirag’s mom and tells Dipika not to worry. He asks her to tie a rakhi to him, and she agrees.
Renu invites the guests. Sayali says she has made the food and reminds everyone that it’s Raksha Bandhan. Renu asks her to go to her mom’s house and take Sachin along. Sayali refuses. Renu worries and says Akash can marry Juhi. Then she changes her mind and says she will make Juhi tie a rakhi to Akash. Sayali asks about the rakhi gifts. Sachin says he kept them on the terrace. She asks him not to irritate her and to tell her where the bags are. Sachin says they are under the table. She asks why he keeps her things away. He jokes that she has taken over his cupboard. They argue.
Sachin tells her not to spoil her mood. He says good siblings are a blessing. He complains that Tejas ruined his childhood and says Tejas is just a namesake brother.
